Workouts for When You Are Feeling Lazy

Why did I decide to write about workouts for the lazy guys like myself who still want to stay in shape? Well, the answer is simple. This is because those militaristic gym workouts are insane and I don’t have time to go to the gym every day.

But, I want to stay as fit as any other person who goes to the gym. So, that is why I looked for workouts that were specifically there to help me get in shape despite my busy schedule and the lazy feeling I get sometimes.

These routines are about finding the little pieces of time that you will obviously have in between your work schedule and then capitalize on them for a better body and a healthier life. So, let’s get on with it.

The Tricks to Doing This

  1. When You Have 3 Minutes

This is the first step in the road to becoming fit despite the schedule. There will be time in between the workplace and you can do modified pushups and exercises that do not need you tot have equipment. These can include 3-4 minute workouts that can include the following exercises the written number of times.

  • Jumping jacks- 20
  • Lunges- 10
  • Jump squats- 5
  • Butt kickers- 20
  • Tricep dips- 10
  • Russian twists- 30
  • Jack knife sit ups- 10

This way, you can capitalize on the little time that you will have. These workouts are sometimes as short as one song.

  1. If You Have 15 Minutes

These are the exercises that you can do within fifteen minutes to give yourself a total body workout. They will ensure that you get all the exercises completely.

  • While steel on your knees, stretch your body forward and bend the knees. Use your arms to do pushups.
  • Do the bridges where you lie on your back palms facing down and feet on the floor with the knees bended. Use your shoulders and feet to push up your pelvis.
  • Place your forearms on the floor and lift your body with your feet. Stay in that position for 30 seconds.
  • Do the Superman where you lie flat face down and stretch your arms and legs making sure they are not touching the floor.

A plan of workout for yourself, often pick a push exercise, a pull exercise (harder but not impossible with bodyweight), a core exercise, and something to target your glutes, quads and hamstrings. Then Iusually throw in a big, high-intensity, total-body movement to ensure in getting some cardio. Planning a workout this way means that it target all the major muscle groups, giving a great, total-body workout.

Whether it’s a lifelong friend or an office buddy, gym partners give you a real boost. “Partners not only help with the motivational aspect, but they can help in getting you better results, too,” says Gray. “They push you a little harder than you’d normally push yourself, and make sure you actually go to the gym even when you feel like going home.” And to make sure you both keep each other motivated.

If you do this 5-minute workout every day, you’re bound to get flat abs. Which is pretty great since 5 minutes on my abs is probably more than enough time for me to focus on one part of my body.

Getting your thighs fit isn’t the only great thing about these exercises; it’s the fact that you’re on your back…can’t get lazier than that.

Remind yourself of why you’re committing to exercise and why those reasons outweigh what the voices are saying. If you exercise in the morning, put on your workout clothes right away so you have one less obstacle between you and your workout.

The couch is calling, but don’t feel guilty, we’ve got you covered. And the best part is, they can all be done from your living room! It was fun for a few days to work from home in leggings and sweats, but the honeymoon period has definitely come and gone.
